Art workshops to enhance and support school syllabus
With extensive experience of working with children from pre-school to secondary school, as well as having tried and tested workshops for all age groups in place, Helen is able to create bespoke art workshops to support in-class projects in history, art and literature.
-First World War – taking a look at the stories of the men who went to war, with an aim to span the hundred year gap through artefacts & art.
-Portraits – taking a look at different portraits in art history with a view to painting their own.
-Wild Art – looking at different ways to make art, exploring the shapes and forms we see in nature and creating art using what we find in the garden or playground.
-Abstract Adventure – looking at abstract art, identifying mark making and colour with regard to feelings and emotions, resulting in some fantastic art!
-Looking at Illustration – this workshop is tailor made and based around a specific book a class is looking at. Talking about how the illustrator works and trying to come up with their own illustrations.
